Creating a more just and equitable future for the Haitian people.

Our Story

Solidarity 1804 is an international advocacy organization dedicated to addressing the historical injustices inflicted upon Haiti due to the imposition of the independence debt by France in 1825. This debt, which demanded reparations for French property losses, including enslaved people, has significantly impacted Haiti's economic and social development.

We aim to seek justice, raise global awareness, and promote sustainable development for a brighter future for Haiti. The organization’s mission focuses on seeking justice and reparations, raising global awareness, and promoting sustainable development initiatives to improve the quality of life for the Haitian people.

Our Mission

Solidarity 1804 is committed to:

  • Raising Awareness: Educating the global community about the history and ongoing impact of Haiti's independence debt.

  • Advocating for Restitution: Lobbying for the formal restitution of Haiti's independence debt by France through legal and policy advocacy.

  • Promoting Sustainable Development: Supporting initiatives that enhance the social and economic development of Haiti.
